Welcome to Cricklade Town Council

Welcome to the website of Cricklade Town Council.  It has been designed to give easy access to useful information that you, as either a resident, or a visitor might need.

Cricklade is the First Town on the Thames and the Southern Gateway to the Cotswolds.  The town has such a lot to offer from the SSSI at North Meadow, a National Nature Reserve and home to the Snakeshead Fritillary to the 112 listed buildings on the quintessentially English High Street.  Steeped in history the town is one of just a few preserved Saxon Towns.

Within these pages you will find details of the community spirit that makes Cricklade a special place to live, together with a summary of the rich and varied history of the town and also information about the reason why the town motto ‘in loco delicioso’ (which translates as ‘in a delightful place’) is so apt.

If you can’t find what you need on the website please get in touch as we are continually striving to improve the services we offer.
