The Thames Path is a long distance walking trail, established in 1989, following England’s best known river for 185.2 miles (298 km) as it meanders from its source at Thames Head, through Cricklade, to the Thames Barrier, near Greenwich. It is very well way-marked so following the route is easy, but it is always a good idea to take a guidebook or map.
The path runs through Fairview Fields in Cricklade, an area of open space maintained by the Town Council for leisure and recreation purposes which encompasses the Millennium and Jubilee Woods.
In addition, Cricklade Heritage Trail will take you on a leisurely walk around the key historic locations in the town via a series of information boards.
