Full Council

Chairman of the Council – Mark Clarke 
Vice-Chairman of the Council – Stuart Pryde 

Councillors: Barrie Beasley, Chris Bull, John Coole, Nick Dye, John Harmer, Mike Hatton, Cathy Limbrick, Russell Osman, Laura Parker, Alan Poole, Stuart Pryde, Polly Whinfrey.

The Full Council deals with statutory business, regularly monitors income and expenditure, considers recommendations from committees and civic duties. This meets every eight weeks.

Committees

Planning, Conservation, and Transport deals with planning consultation, the conservation area, climate change, traffic issues and traffic management. This meets every four weeks.

Community and Leisure is responsible for play areas and equipment, maintaining recreation grounds, open spaces, cemeteries and burials, closed churchyards at St Sampson’s and St Mary’s, Fairview Fields, and floral displays in the High Street. This meets every eight weeks.

Chairman – Russell Osman, Vice Chairman – Barrie Beasley, Chris Bull, Mark Clarke, Nick Dye, Mike Hatton, Angela Jensen, Laura Parker, Alan Poole, Stuart Pryde, Polly Whinfrey.

Premises & Finance is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the buildings, associated budget setting and monitoring income and expenditure. This meets every 11 weeks.

A Personnel Committee meets 4 times a year or when specifically called – Barrie Beasley, Chris Bull, Mark Clarke, Cathy Limbrick, Russell Osman, Stuart Pryde.

Working Parties  

In addition to the Council Committees there are a number of working parties set up for specific tasks, some of which have non councillors as members.

Cemetery – Barrie Beasley, Mark Clarke, John Coole, Mike Hatton, Russell Osman.

Neighbourhood Plan Review – Barrie Beasley, Chris Bull, Mark Clarke, John Coole, Nick Dye, John Harmer, Cathy Limbrick, Alan Poole, Stuart Pryde. Members of the public  Ruth Szybiak, John Barratt..

Town Enhancement – Mark Clarke, Nick Dye, Alan Poole, Stuart Pryde.

Open Space – Barrie Beasley, Mark Clarke, Mike Hatton, Cathy Limbrick, Russell Osman. Members of the public  David Tetlow, Anita Barratt.
